Moving down south!

We are moving to Texas! Here are a few pictures of our new home. They post in a strange way so please excuse the randomness of it.
Ethan's room. He has 2 sets of walk in closets
Master bath. That is a whirlpool tub and a shower to the left with and actual linen closet.
There are his and her sinks in the master. We had them put in under mount sinks as these were just not practical.
The marble counters that are in the kitchen and master bathroom.

The girls have a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with a walk in closet behind the sink. I am standing in the closet to get this shot. The backsplash is the same that we have in the kitchen, master and all bathrooms
This is the girls bathroom
Master bedroom. I have no great pictures of the master bath
One of the girls rooms (they are pretty much the same).

The entry into the master bedroom

A picture of the living room looking into the kitchen/breakfast bar and at the windows.
Looking from between the girls room into the playroom. The media room is to the right of the playroom and Ethan's room and bathroom is to the left of the play room. Over the railing is the living room to the left and front door to the right.
Love this! Reminds me of OP
Looking down toward the front door. We will replace the fixture for something more "grand". You can see the study and formal dining room to the right.

The kitchen and breakfast area. We have SS appliances and the counter is marble. There is enough room for the kids to eat at the island.

The living room with fireplace and windows from floor to ceiling. We are getting built in book cases to the right and left of the fire place and a wall mounted TV above the fireplace. We are doing plantation shutters throughout the house. The master bedroom suite is just out of picture shot to the right.
The kids play room which leads into the media room/ 5th bedroom
The entry way. Chadwick's office is to the left. The garage and coat closet is to the right. The formal dining room is just visible on the left. The door to the powder room is open on the right.
The front
The rear. The living room windows, master windows and windows to Ethan's room.

A new member

Well we have not done a great job of keeping up with our blog. We have been busy with our kids and trying to get everything ready for Christmas.

The girls are so fun. We had their "well baby visits" last week and they are healthy. This is the first time Kayla has ever spoken for the doctor but was perfectly on cue when the Dr. asked me, "how are Kayla's verbal skills?" I said good than Kayla said, "Mommy, there is a baby crying in the other room but it is ok because she has her mommy." He was shocked.

Emma has been doing a great job of eating recently. We no longer have to give her food through the tube. We are not ready to say she won't ever need her tube but for the time being, she is holding her own and eating well. She is also mostly potty trained. She loves wearing "big girl" panties and is very proud of herself.

Our big announcement is that we are expecting another baby in May. So far things look good. I have weekly ultrasounds and progesterone shots. So far all is well. We trust and pray that things will continue to go well for the rest of this pregnancy.

Sending all our family and friends Christmas greetings.

Kayla turned 2

Kayla turned 2 on Wed. She was SO excited for her birthday. Any time we asked her, "Kayla what is today?" She shouted, "MY BIRTHDAY" as loud as she could. It was great. Emma got in on the action too and started, "it is my birthday too!" It was great. Pictures to come soon.

Happy Birthday Kayla

Emma turned 3

Friday was Emma's third birthday. We had lots of people in town so we decided to celebrate her birthday on Saturday. We made chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for her birthday, that is the only thing she wanted (no toys.. just chocolate cake.. what a change).

What a great celebration for her.

Pictures to come soon.

Way to long

It has been way to long since we have last updated the blog. The girls are growing and changing so quickly and are so much fun to watch. They are playing together so well and love to cook at their play kitchen. Emma is my constant helper and wants in on everything that I do. I hear a lot of "can I help you Mommy?" Kayla is independent and does everything that Emma does. She will tell you that she is 1.5 and that Emma is 2.5 but Kayla doesn't really understand that she is younger than Emma.

Chadwick is doing well and continues to enjoy his job. It keeps him busy and away from the girls more than he would like. He is a great daddy and loves every minute that he can be with the kids.

We had a busy summer camping with friends, taking day trips with friends, girls/guys night outs, block party and being outside enjoying the weather. It was a chilly summer but we spent many days outside enjoying it anyway.

Summer FINALLY

It is finally summer here in Chicago! We went through a very rainy June but the last few days have been great!

Emma is back to her old self! We are so happy to have her back! She LOVES being outside and playing in the water. She is so sweet with Kayla again. Emma is always busy running here and there, jumping, dancing, climbing and just being 2! It is so wonderful to see her so healthy and happy. I am often reminded of how lucky we were that she is so "normal".

Kayla continues to keep up with Emma. SHe is so sweet with Emma. They really love each other. We are in awe of the things that this little one can do. She is amazing. We are so fortunate to have her.

We got a new computer so we need to get the software for the camera put on the new computer.

Pictures to come soon

More Pictures

It has been a long week here in the Sullivan household. Chadwick worked long long hours this week and the girls missed him a lot. He missed seeing them almost every night. It was a bummer for them.

Kayla is so smart! She is singing the ABC's, can spell her name and Emma's name, will tell you that she is 1.5 years old (she actually says one half) and that Emma is 2.5 (2 half). She is busy busy busy and loves to walk, go to the park and be outside. She is also using the potty on a pretty regular basis. She is talking in sentences and is just so happy most of the time. She is great to Emma and will give her her blanket when she sees it.

Emma is also doing well. She has been a handful recently. Her behavior is terrible. She has been very agressive with Kayla and other children. It is a whole new side of Emma. We have no idea where our sweet little girl went. We think this is a phase but hope it passes soon.
The girls
Emma and her crazy hair. She was mad that we were taking her picture with her hair "a mess"

From the front
Burn suit again from the front
Kayla's burn 5 days after the nurse stopped coming. This is 3.5 weeks after the burn happened.

Hours of fun!

Bye bye
