Random Thoughts

ok... here we go...

Liz is doing well. She is now 29 / 3... almost six weeks further along than the last time! She is getting bigger and bigger... we can now see the baby moving around quite clearly. Liz is taking the whole thing in stride... I'm always amazed at how she keeps everything all together.

Emma is doing great. If by great you mean not wanting to take naps, wanting to walk more than anything in the world (and not being able to), teething, having a tube in her nose, and... well, that's about it. Truthfully she is great. She is getting bigger and bigger, not to mention louder and louder. I miss her when I'm at work, and I already feel like I am missing out on some of her life... but, I guess I was able to take such a big part of her life for so long that I should be thankful for that.

Me... well, I'm doing well. Work is great so far... Although I have a review this Friday... I can't imagine much constructive will come of that after four weeks of work, but you never know. I enjoy what I am doing and the people I work with.

Onto the Random Rantings...

Benjamin Franklin once said "Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither"... So,
it gives me great pleasure to see some of the Patriot Act ruled unconstitutional. I applaud my old Senator, Russ Feingold, for being the only Senator to realize these issues and vote against the Act in the beginning.

Houses are expensive.

Usually I am happy to finish a book... but, this week I finished reading Catch-22... again. It made me sad to finish reading that book... why? the only thing I can think of is that the book is just that good... (on a side note, I started a new book... "Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim" by David Sedaris... strange book so far...)

Amazon sells unprotected MP3s cheaper than itunes... who knew?

How is someone not going to jail for this?

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

For some reason, I keep thinking that life will slow down a bit so I can do things that I keep meaning to do... like blog, etc... wonder when all that extra time will get here...

Liz is doing well. She is getting bigger and bigger every day. In fact, we are now 28 weeks 2 days... that is almost 5 weeks past what we were with Emma. Everything is going great so far... aside from Liz being pregnant and all the fun and discomfort that accompanies that.

Liz is enjoying her new job as a stay at home mom. While Emma doesn't take near enough naps for Liz's liking, she is still really having a lot of fun.

The house is great so far. We just had our sewer repaired, which is good... I can see how houses can be money pits. In a sick way I am just waiting for the next thing to happen so I get to spend more money on the house!

I am also doing well. I started work a couple weeks ago. So far everything is great. I like the people I work with and I enjoy the work so far. But, I am only 2+ weeks into my new job, so we'll see how it goes. One thing you tend to forget if you don't have a regular job for 3+ years... working full time takes a lot of energy.

Emma is doing well. She is getting louder (i think she talks... regardless, she makes lots of baby noises). She likes to eat solid foods, but not so much out of the bottle. She continues to get bigger and stronger, and she can now sit up on her own and continues to work on crawling and walking... she'll get there yet.

Who would have guessed it... it looks like Emma is a Golden Gophers fan...

No Emma, you don't cheer when the Gophers lose...

Carrots?

I swear, she did eat some carrots.

Hmm... I've heard of girls painting their eyebrows... but that is a bit too orange..

Liz, unlike Emma, can eat her carrots and not get them all over her face.

Is she wearing red to cheer for Bucky or Herbie?

Dad and Emma...

Adios!
