Almost Summer
The weather has been so nice here. We went from snow to 90 degree weather.
The girls are doing really well. Emma thinks that Kayla's new found freedom of sitting means that she can push her over and drag her around. Yikes... The girls are loving being outside (this includes Liz) and are having fun going to the parks, splash pads and the zoo.
Chad and Liz did their first home improvement project last weekend. We painted the bathroom. It is a blue green (looks like sea green) and we are still trying to decide if we like it or not.
On to the pictures and videos..
Emma with chocolate on her face... imagine she will eat chocolate but not other food. Perhaps the best part of this picture is Kayla in the background!
Kayla
More pictures of Kayla.. She is teething so check it out (2 teeth on the bottom)
Chadwick was grilling and the family was all in the back yard. Emma found the puddle of water and there was no keeping her out of it.
A close up of the damage on front
The damage from the back... this onesies will never be the same...
This is such a great picture of Emma. She looks so innocent yet is covered with mud.
Climbing up the back stairs
Kayla and her daddy. She is a daddy's girl.
Kayla.. a close up
A series of trying to get Kayla's new teeth
You can see her teeth a little bit here
A smile
Playing with her feet
Waiting for Emma to finish eating
Emma eating.. we have discovered that she loves broccoli
This is a new smile for Emma. Scrunching her whole face and showing her teeth..
More chocolate on her face. Chadwick brought home chocolate covered pretzles. Emma liked them.
Emma being proud of her not eating... what a big smile...
Emma (again, with chocolate on her face...)
Emma, proud once again...

Big changes in the month of June
Greetings! I can hardly believe that today is the first day of June. Time has gone by so quickly. It is hard to believe that Kayla will be 6 months tomorrow. It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital.
Now onto the pictures and videos
Kayla eating...
She loves to eat and never misses a meal
The girls in the stroller getting ready for a walk
The girls and their walking partner (aka daddy). Liz was really not feeling well so Chad took the kids for the morning.
Liz went to change Kayla's diaper and came back to find that Emma had pulled herself up unto the dishwasher and was unloading the top rack.
Chadwick and Kayla
Giving kisses
The girls in the pool. We fill it with warm tap water and they love it
A close up

This is a picture of Emma's mic key (aka button). Notice the scar, that is where they had to go in and fix her colon.
Now onto the videos.... We will let the girls show you their new skills.
Yep you saw it here... Emma is walking.... It was rather amazing because as of yesterday (Sat. May 31) Emma wouldn't take more than 2 or 3 steps at a time. This morning, she just started walking and I mean walking. She went from the living room through the dining room to the kitchen and stopped only when she got to the baby gate, then turned around and went back. She also had a great time walking outside today. It is like she has been waiting for just the right time to walk and today was that day. It has been so fun to see her and she is so proud.
More videos....
and this is also big news... Kayla is sitting all by herself. This happened today as well. Her sitting happened over a longer period of time but she couldn't sit for any period of time last week so this is amazing. She is still a bit tipsy but for the most part, she can sit alone. It is cute because today Emma was walking over to her and giving her kisses on the head. Kayla thinks this is very funny. She loves to watch Emma and this new found freedom of being up right makes that much easier.
